Classes Offered:
Classes offered will be based on enrolment and available time in the schedule.
Tiny Tots - must be potty-trained and age 3 by August 31, 2024
Ballet - Competitive and non competitive, mandatory for all dancers (*please see clarification note*)
Jazz - Beginners and up
Tap - Beginners and up
Hip Hop - ages 5 and up
Acro - ages 7 and up, must be registered in at least one other class
Lyrical - ages 8 and up
Musical Theatre - ages 8 and up
**NEW CLASS a form of theatrical performance that combines song, spoken dialogue, acting and dance**
Contemporary - ages 12 and up
*Clarification regarding mandatory ballet classes*
Ballet is the basis of many dance styles. They say that ballet technique is like taking your vitamins. Even if ballet is not your main focus, it will help you maintain and improve your strength, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, and more.
All dancers will be required to take competitive ballet OR non competitive but are not required to take both. Competitive ballet will include a choreographed routine for competition and recital, non competitive ballet
will not.
NOTE: This excludes dancers taking ONLY Hip Hop.
Class fees are as follows:
Tiny Tots - $225
Beginner, Junior - 30 minute classes
1st class - $225
2nd class - $175
3rd and subsequent classes - $125
Beginner, Junior, Intermediate - 45 minute classes
1st class - $275
2nd class - $225
3rd and subsequent classes - $175
Intermediate, Senior - 60 minute classes
1st class - $300
2nd class - $250
3rd and subsequent classes - $200
In an effort to streamline accounting on our end and simplify things for families, the following fee structure will be in place for the 2023-2024 Dance Season:

Our registration fee is $50 until June 15th. After the early bird discount ends on June 15th, the registration fee will be $100.

Our costume deposit is $75 per dance. *Any additional charges will be billed out at a later date.

Our competition fee will be $30 per dance, per competition. This will be a set rate and billed at the beginning of the year. The amount of competitions Borden Dance Club will be attending is yet to be determined and is subject to change.

Our fundraising fee will be $100 per family. This is the amount of one ticket book to be sold in the spring and will billed at the beginning of the year.

All fees will be due by September 9th. If invoice has not be paid by then your child will not be able to dance. Under special circumstances payment arrangements can be made.
An invoice will be sent out after early registration has closed on June 15, 2024. Full payment is due on or before the first day of dance, September 9, 2024, unless a payment plan has been agreed upon. Payment can be made by cheque or e-transfer to bordendanceclub@gmail.com. NO CASH PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All NSF cheques will be subject to a $40 fee.
Classes start on September 9, 2024. Dance nights will take place on MONDAY, TUESDAY, FRIDAY. A dance schedule will be drafted based on registration numbers. There will be a two week trial period for all classes. Parents must confirm their child's registered classes before the third week of dance. There will be NO REFUNDS for classes dropped after the two week trial period.
*Please note that after three weeks, dancers may be moved to a different level at the discretion of the instructor.*

Dancers may register to take a solo or duet class if approved by our instructors. Solos/duets can be taken to competition but are not required to. The dancer(s) MUST be registered in the genre of dance they wish to take their solo in (with the exception of Musical Theatre which must be registered in Jazz).
